The Real Ted Kennedy

The leftist media in this country has erupted in praise of Ted Kennedy. Democrats praise him. Republicans praise him. Liberals praise him conservatives praise him. But simply because a man has a health problem, does that mean that all criticism must stop? Does a man who spent his entire political life destroying the fundamental tenets of American morality become miraculously rehabilitated simply because he enters the hospital? Do conservatives stop being conservatives because of a medical diagnosis?

No! And yet it seems that the Republicans in Congress have forgotten what Ted Kennedy has done to our borders. Too many so-called conservative commentators have forgotten what Ted Kennedy has done to our language. Too many fawning media lackeys have forgotten that Ted Kennedy has succeeded in nearly destroying our culture.

We cannot forget that he opened the borders as early as 1965. We cannot forget that he voted to destroy the flag and destroy traditional marriage. We cannot forget in spite of his illness, that he has voted for late-term abortion – i.e. infanticide. We can’t forget that…

He voted no on a constitutional ban on flag desecration.
He voted no on constitutional ban of same-sex marriage.
He voted yes on adding sexual orientation to definition of hate crimes.
He voted no on banning affirmative action hiring with federal funds.
He voted yes on allowing illegals to participate in Social Security.
His poor health does not excuse him for what he has done to our country.

And so now the Soros-run media sets on Michael Savage for daring to disclose the truth about Ted Kennedy. As in a Soviet show trial, Michael Savage is persecuted for refusing to take the party line that the great lying lion of the left must be praised. I will not be silenced. You will not be silenced. Silence is death. Speak the truth about Ted Kennedy. Americans must know his reckless record of destructive social engineering.

If all this guy can do is to name 5 things where he disagrees with a man who has served 46 years making laws and policies then Bravo to Mr. Kennedy.After all the hoopla dies down about his illness I'm sure the opposition will retort back to the name calling and business will become business once again.

How is that kicking someone, that's the guy's voting record, how stupid can one be? There is nothing personal here, how else is a politician to be judged if not for his voting record...there should be a special place for all you dumb voters...I'm sure they'll overlook Bush's policy making also, if he falls ill...what a hypocrite you are.

First, there is nothing wrong with his voting record. Second, the man is dying and you have now chosen to criticize him. It just speaks to your anger, lack of compassion and downright meanness. Someday you will be on your death bed and I have no doubt that your life history and charity will pale when compared to Kennedys'. Did he make mistakes, no doubt the greatest was Chappaquiddick. But the man has tried to live an exemplary life helping people.
When Bush is on his death bed, I am sure that good thing will be said about him, just like they did for Nixon.

Dennis was the movie Boys don't cry based on him? You know the one Hillary Swank won an oscar for? If it is that was a horrible and vicious thing they did to him.

Annmarie, there was a TV movie called the Matthew Shepard Story. Also The Laramie Project.

Shortly after midnight on October 7, 1998, 21-year-old Shepard met McKinney and Henderson in a bar. McKinney and Henderson posed as gay men and offered Shepard a ride in their car. Subsequently, Shepard was robbed, pistol whipped, tortured, tied to a fence in a remote, rural area, and left to die. McKinney and Henderson also found out his address and intended to burglarize his home. Still tied to the fence, Shepard was discovered eighteen hours later by a cyclist, who at first thought that Shepard was a scarecrow. Shepard was still alive, but in a coma, at the time of discovery.

Shepard suffered a fracture from the back of his head to the front of his right ear. He had severe brain stem damage, which affected his body's ability to regulate heart rate, body temperature and other vital signs. There were also about a dozen small lacerations around his head, face and neck. His injuries were deemed too severe for doctors to operate. Shepard never regained consciousness and remained on full life support. As he lay in intensive care, candlelight vigils were held by the people of Laramie.

He was pronounced dead at 12:53 A.M. on October 12, 1998 at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins. Police arrested McKinney and Henderson shortly thereafter, finding the bloody gun as well as the victim's shoes and wallet in their truck.

The two men had attempted to get their girlfriends to provide alibis.[10]
