I think we all agree 100% with you, Sandy. However, since this board is "provided as a service" (and not profitable to its owner) I doubt that will happen.

In case you haven't noticed, Charlie appears to be this board's "Moderator." How else to explain that he and his vicious ilk along with their incredibly nasty and/or filthy comments and innuendo are allowed to remain, yet others "disappear"....if they aren't in line with 'Charlie's' thinking?

I have my own theories as to the back-room machinations of this board, and all I can say is (before this, too, suddenly 'disappears') FOREWARNED IS FOREARMED.....KNOW YOUR ENEMY.

Well, when the attacks were against one group of people no one called for moderation. when the sexual innuendo posts wer against two women here, those who called for a moderator were called "rats" and laughed at, but now that the scales are tipping in the other direction its a new story. i can make up names and go on and on and on for quite some time. The self-righteous crowd stops the gang-up nonsense, we all stop the troll nonsense.

Yeah, well just make sure you have a really secure e-mail confirmation address. If there truly are hackers on this board, that's a case for the FBI Internet Fraud Unit.....

Before you accuse me again, would you please post those nasty/filthy comments and innuendos that I supposedly wrote. While you are at it, perhaps you can also post the filthy comments posted by Concourse Star and others from your "gang". Please do so or else please stop accusing me of such actions. You are libeling me. I might disagree and even name call but never do I make obscene and filthy comments as your "friends" have. You have even gone so far as to suggest that I kill myself. Now who has a black heart?

I guess you would have to read all the posts to understand what I meant. The author of this thread has joined in on the madness from time to time, and was never vocal about moderation until now. In fact he (or she) started his (her) own board, yet came here to join the gang against two others. I dont really care who gets called a "name". Belmont received a PM from someone who tried extortion, if you will. Either she joined him in his vindictive persuit of certain people, or she faced his wrath. Only one side can play games? I much prefer a level playing field. I suggest we all stop, or this board gets worse than it is now.
No I'm sure that not "all" the trolls will disappear, just some of the dormant/newer ones.

I think it's all in the personal interpretation of "filthy"...not that you ever, to my knowledge, said anything sexually repulsive, but your friend--Stuart--who wrote to inform me that he'd "had a talk with you and asked you to lay off BG.....as long as I stopped posting so many new threads" (which he agreed with) certainly has! Take a quick tour through his sickening "Paradise" thread and then tell me what's written there isn't a disgrace to the reputation of Back In The Bronx!

When I stopped posting so many new threads, I was (again) asked by Stuart to "Please separate yourself from those loathsome AA people...if you do not, do you really want to be part of the attacks?" When I failed to respond to his PM, the attacks began.

Yes, some of "my gang" use salty language. That's part of who and what we are. Sorry if it offends your (and others) sensibilities, but that language is not generally employed unless we are made very, very angry by unfair, condescending and personal attacks, be it our Italian heritage, our common background, right down to the way people spell and/or use the English language! How tacky is that, to criticize people's typos or shortcomings, separate and apart from whatever topic is being discussed??

You intellectuals on board think you have the upper hand because you ARE excellent writers, thinkers, and contributors, but when you allow (by the sin of omission) certain people to get away with their nonsense and ferociously attack another group for the very same behavior, well, that's just one-sided thinking.

By the way, I did not "suggest that you kill yourself"!! That was a typical example of our neighborhood humor, certainly not the outpouring of a "black heart." PLEASE do NOT judge ALL people from "Arthur Avenue" by the actions of a FEW. It is not MY responsibility if others post objectionable words, and I DO take "old neighborhood" people to task if the occasion calls for it.

And I am NOT "complaining" that people "call me names," Suzie. I am merely pointing out an obvious effort by a certain group of NON-Arthur Avenue people to consistently denounce and humiliate me on a personal level, not a "neighborhood" one. I'm the last person in the world you can called "two-faced," Suzie. I think my openness and honesty here so far has already proven that.

There seems to be a lot of misunderstanding on this board, and I think it's because people don't talk to one another. Here the fists flies first, on both sides!
I think Charlie and Paula have made a genuine attempt at trying to understand what has transpired.A lot of hurt feelings is what a lot of this is about. People have pride in their heritage,country and their neighborhood, and once this is attacked it's like a personal attack on them. Try to understand where the other person is coming from.
And for all others who are not taken aback by this, please do us all a favor and save the analysts for a different time.I will no longer comment about the goings on here.

Paula I stated a few posts back that it was like a breathe of fresh air when you came back to the board, things were starting to turn around and I enjoyed and still enjoy what you post, the biggest problem with this whole board is that a "few" like to cause problems, I have nothing against any neighborhood at all, whether you come from Mott Haven, Hunts Point or whereever, who cares, its that we all grew up in the same place share the same memories and can relate to each other. I for the life of me can't understand also why some people are left to stay here and others get banned. Poor Herb who happens to be a very nice person, should never have been dumped/Yvonne the same.

If the "few" that remain want to destroy this board they can, its been done before, and life will go on from there. There are people out there that no matter what, they want control and power and if it is to name call and use foul language thats what they will do, sad commentary I would say.

Suzie, there are many people from that area who post here, including me. Why do you lump all into one basket? Isn't that a form of bigotry? If anyone here has a problem with one or two people, why is it constantly a problem for the rest of us?

I've seen plenty of vulgarity from those not from AA, yet you only focus on one contributor to this forum. Kind of one sided, don't you think? Let's not forget that vulgarity does not end with the "F" bomb. There are many ways to be a pig, and there's a lot of bacon on this board.

Suzie, thanks for clarifying what you meant. Perhaps those "few" have now learned a lesson and will return as more gentle, respectful people. I am, after all, now the official Curse Word Officer of the Peace, an appointment I take very seriously. I have already asked that one particularly egregious word be voluntarily removed, and if she has not been banned from that account, I'm hoping she will remove it.

But we ARE a feisty bunch from good old Arthur Avenue and its environs, so I can't promise anything. We all grew up 'tough' (so to speak) because we had to. To the very present, I don't realize how 'tough' I still sound to people I meet for the first time. Just the other day, my friend & neighbor Phil told me, "You're very blunt" (because I told him that his feet smelled when he took off his shoes...) Took me by surprise, but I suddenly realized, HUH! I AM blunt! I guess, when you grow up in a neighborhood of 'blunt people' you just automatically become that way too. But I'm also very polite, respectful, and nice too. Nobody is all good or all bad, even "Arthur Avenue" people! (That's a joke.)

I agree with you about Herb M...Yvonne, I'm not sure. She really got very nasty before she left. If she comes back as the gentle, humorous soul she was before, I'd welcome her. But what about CrotonaPark and Dennis? All they did was post words that were already posted by others yet the axe fell on them, and not the originators! Makes no sense to me, but no message board ever does. From the little experience I've had with MBs, I think they're ALL nuts.

I will end with Karyn's instant-classic line:
