AFGHANISTAN? IT SEEMS LIKE THE DEATH TOLL IS CLIMBING AND WE'RE NOT GETTING ANYWHERE. THE GOVENMENT IS SO CORRUPT THAT I BELIEVE THEY ARE AIDING THE TALIBAN.OUR SOLDIERS ARE LIKE SITTING DUCKS, YOU DON'T KNOW WHO IS FRIEND OR FOE.
THE REAL WAR SHOULD BE IN PAKISTAN, AND LOOK WHAT'S HAPPENING THERE. WHY CAN'T THE MILITARY OF BOTH COUNTRIES JOIN TOGETHER AND GO AFTER THEM, AL-QAEDA, AND BIN LANDEN? We should leave. The main insurgents are the Taliban not Al Qaeda. Taliban has not exported their terrorism beyond the region.
The Soviets had more troops there than we now have and they could not defeat the Taliban. Many other countries and conquerors over centuries tried to take over Afghanastan and they all failed. We should not let our Generals decide what to do. They are trained for war and will always want to fight until death. This is the only war they have now, and they would like it to keep going. That is how they get their medals and promotions. Let Afghanastan and Pakistan solve their own problems. We could provide them with weapons to enable them to kill each other. |

The more troops, the more deaths. The General is not Obama's only adviior. If he only listend to that General, the troops would have already been sent there.
