Just out of curiosity, I wonder if there are any state or federal laws that actually require the registration of newborn children? Is it a crime not to get a birth certificate? Or, could a person be born and live in one of these communities without ever entering the system? I realize many members of the group must have social security numbers, driver’s liscenses, etc., but could it be possible for some of these young girls to remain “officially” unknown as long as they spend their lives on the ranch? How do parents qualify for welfare payments without identifying each child? It seems to me that the authorities don’t have a clue as to who many of them really are. They have opened a huge can of worms. Maybe they should have left well enough alone. Although, it looks like some good job security for local bureaucrats.

Good post with great questions Mike. I know in order to obtain any kind of federal assistance like welfare, food stamps, health insurance, you need a valid Social Security number. I also believe it's a Public Health law that all births be registered, whether they complied or not is another question! |

They pleaded it down, I understand that FL does not have the swiftest people running their agencies, its happened over and over again, the children that are lost because of lazy people not wanting to do their jobs, they say their overloaded, and can't handle the case loads, well damnmit, someone has to listen, whether its a supervisor or co-worker, but instead they push the blame on to the next person. Children need to be protected, someday someone will say enough it stops now, but until that day comes, innnocent children will be silent victim.

If you saw the women who got out ,she said the children were beat all the time with brooms and everything else in the name of GOD! When they weren't being beaten they were being raped by filthy old men ,in the name of GOD! The women have no conection to the children ,they are breeders that's all..I hope the kids get as far away from there as they can....Kids are resilant..
