Just heard that Arthur Miller died at age 89. Another great NY'er. Have to forgive the fact that he was born on the lower east side & raised in BRooklyn. I guess that not all great NY'ers are from The Bronx.
I can't count the number of times I saw Death of A Salesman. Twice alone with Dustin Hoffman and once with Lee J. Cobb. Saw a few other productions of it. How many remember a TV movie that he wrote in the early 1980's called Playing for Time? It was about a womens orchesta in the concentration camps. I think he won an Emmy for it. I would love to see it again. |
