"Give more ulcers than you get!"

I can post a NEW THREAD, but--once again--cannot get through when I'm "logged in." WHOEVER runs this board should be thrown overboard...what a mess it is, in more ways than one!

Easy, is it any wonder why the magazine readers wouldn't want to be associated with some of the people here? (That's what I wanted to post under "Wondering Why") If I were the owner, I'd be embarrassed to have a respected magazine associated with some of the discourse here.

When do people finally GROW UP???

Paula I don't think anyone else is having those kinds of problems, maybe it's your ISP.

Belmont Girl, The people who contribute memoirs to the magazine or respond to memoirs written by others are familiar to me. Even if they grew up in different neighborhoods or are older or younger, I feel as if I know them. The cruelty that I witness on this board is unknown to me.

As a BITB contributor myself, I have to agree with you, Easy. The cruelty displayed here is unbelievable.

But then, we get people like sweet baby Jamesie, and the pendulum swings ever so slowly back to the kind side again.....

Simply for this reason, I carry my wolf bane at all times. Thank goodness for my grandmother Bula Spatzel. She left me her memoirs which she wrote of natural cures and remedies for those who suffer from mental disorders caused by others. She really knew what she was talking about.
For instance, wolf bane helps with mood swings.
For annoying people, she suggests carrying a chunk of linburge cheese, guaranteeing they'll stay far away from you.
For jock itch, grandma Bula and her sisters concocted a recipe of tea leaves sauted in pregnant women's milk (usually one of my aunt's) mixed in cornmeal. My uncles seemed pleased and never complained so it must've worked.
And for constipation , my mother would hold a pillow over our heads for about a minute while grandma stepped on our stomache. Usually it worked, otherwise it was followed up with a warm glass of goats milk.
Ah, the good old days.

Agnar, that's a hostile post. If you have nothing to say why don't you just shut up.

It sounds 'hostile' because you are addressing Easy as 'CS' and, if you will read another thread (I already forgot which one it is) you will discover that "Easy" is definitely NOT CS.

I read somewhere that sarcastic people are usually extremely intelligent, and impatient with those who cannot keep up with them. From one sarcastic person to another, I do admire that in you, Agnar. And thanks for keeping things civil with Easy.

My word, I think we've got it!!!

Unfortunately, Dragon, when people couch their words with fancy phrases and creative writing, people either zone out, or actually appreciate reading it, since good writing is so rare this days.

However, the F-WORD stands by itself, along with George Carlin's other 6 words, and people get offended for the wrong reasons. Never bothered me to hear any of 'em myself. Part of the language, part of life. No big deal.

Thanks for the update, though. I think CrotonaPark posted something like that before he got banned.....*eye roll*
