Being retired is tough. We're off (tomorrow) to Key West for FantasyFest. A week of parties and being bad. Just Google it.

Participants since 2000. That's why we bought timeshare in Key West. The real party doesn't start until Thursday. Pretty quiet during the days.

We went scuba diving today and will go to the beach at Bahia-Honda State Park - about 35 miles north of Key Wesy tommorow. It's always in the top ten of Florida beaches.

I have heard that Honda State Park is really beautiful. I am thinking about driving down to the Keys. Would you suggest the Keys, and specifically going to Honda?

Where would a nice place to spend a few days, that is off the beaten track, to avoid the busy ness of the winter rush?

We love Key West. Can be expensive. Bahia-Honda State park was great today. As a point of info - they have a boat going out for snorkling. We have a time share at one of the Hyatts. Really no out of the way palces in Key West. Maybe some of the other keys. Some of the motels in other Keys have good rates but be careful because some (even "name" chains) specialize in rooms for divers and they're not the greatest. We go to some in Key Largo when we go diving but then it's usually just the guys.

The wife is calling me - time to go to dinner.

It seems that you only post here to tell everyone of your wonderful vacations. There are some here who cannot do so...so what is your point? Oh yeah, keep you shirt on.

I busted my butt for years - I worked two jobs for years (shot weddings on W/E's for over 20 years). My wife worked and put in lots of O/T. We made wise investments. We put all of our kids through college. We retired in our 50's & now that we're retired it's our turn to enjoy ourselves. We saw three out of our four parents not make it to 60.

I choose not to complain, moan & whine about the world and it's problems. We choose to enjoy ourselves.

I choose not to read most of the posts because of the whining & name calling. If you don't like what I post then don't read it.

No offense but it seems that you only like to post about your vacations and nudity. Is that all you have to offer?

Unfortunately for me, I have to agree with Inarsword. All Red tells us is about how he and his wife cavort in the nude, and go on these vacations. Well Red, if you don't like to post here, why post what you and wifey do in your private time? And before you ask if we are jealous, the answer is no, just bored of 50+ being seen in the nude. Hey no offense.

I find Redwrangle's comment about his travels as very interesting. More interesting than the garbage coming out of some peoples mouth.

Herb conjures up the images of all these nudists, and then, well, you finish the sentence. LOL

Yes Red, I WAS referring to the other Keys. I know that Key West is a VERY busy place. I am thinking about a week or so in the Keys next month. I am driving down, and wouldn't mind making it a few days slowly working my way down to Key West, with stops on the other keys, including Bahia Honda. Do you know which other Keys have the nicer beaches, etc?
