I asked a simple question in my earlier post, "Say It Isn't So." Does anyone know who is the "APE WOMAN" mentioned in the above post? I am confused by the replies. In one of them, HEY HEY PAULA quoted the following post from scoocharella which I have not seen and cannot find:

I did not see the above quote from scoocharella. Where was it posted? It is not shown in reply to my original post. Was scoocharella referring to another member of this board as APE WOMAN? Whatever, she did an excellent job of not answering my question by asking other questions and changing the subject. I have never heard of this APE WOMAN, and would like to be enlightened. And, yes, I am taken aback by all the name calling, to whomever it is directed. Anyone ever hear of McCarthyism?


If I watch people pick fruit at the local market for an hour, I won't know much more about fruit than when I started. However, I will most certainly know a lot more about the people picking the fruit.

I thought Scooch was referring to Mrs. Obama, because she doesn't like Whites that much.

Appreciate the replies. Mack, not only is it not classy, but it is also, for me at least, extremely disturbing. I cannot understand how Michelle Obama could pose such a serious threat to the self-identity of some people, that they are willing to sacrifice their humanity on the altar of hate, and resort to a lynch mob mentality. Cathy's hate and discontent tells me absolutely nothing about Michelle or Barack Obama, but it tells me one whole hell of a lot about Cathy.

As an observer of the past week's events, I have to (sadly) agree with you. I do not want to add fuel to the fire, but the inability of a so-called human being to see "not the color of skin, but the content of character" just shows that there is (and probably always will be) a very ugly side to this country.

A journalist friend told me, back in the spring, that he was "afraid this election was going to bring out the best--and the worst--in America." Looks like he was right.
