Michael Schiavo is trash. He should marry the woman he lives with and legitimize his bastards !

Some of the judges you refer to are staunch conservatives, one of them winning confirmation by just a view votes as democrats strongly opposed him. Are you condemning these judges for upholding the law as they are sworn to do or for disagreeing with you?

Mike, maybe we should kill more Iraqis. It really is the conservative right that acts like Nazis. They want everyone to believe like they do and they enjoy the killings in Iraq and are planning their next invasion so they can kill more.

I am as conservative and as far right as they come and I am not enjoying the killing of anyone in Iraq or anyplace else. Iraq has absolutley nothing to do with Terri. Like a good liberal you always change the subject !

I hope and pray that he has sealed a bond with the " crazies" as you put it. I hope it carries over to the next election. I hope the conservatives remember that he treid to save this woman.

Schiavo lost his rights to Terri, IMHO, when he decided to "whore" around and start another family with someone else, while his wife lay helpless and defenseless in some hospice bed...nice loving husband has the rights, huh???

The parents should have sued him for adultery on Terri's behalf and awarded legal guardianship. After all, what rights does he have when he broke the marriage vows? He relinguished them the minute he dipped his pen in the whore's ink.

They say they are justified in this being "legal" because they are removing Terri from a life suppport system and letting her go "naturally" in the absence of such support. Naturally????? Being taken off a respirator and dying naturally is one thing but this is STARVATION people, I don't give a shit if 200 judges rule on it!

If it were so cut and dried, why wasn't Terri taken off the feeding tube YEARS AGO??? Someone was doing something right to grant the parents those appeals...why not now? The parents want her, what's the harm?

And why the rush??? Can't they appeal it until a few more doctors can examine her? It is my understanding that Schiavo refused to have an MRI done on Terri. Plus, there are reports that he abused her, she came into work with bruises on her, and a medical report said she may have been hit on the head or strangled, causing her injuries.

Letting a person take up to 2 weeks to die is CRUEL AND UNUSUAL PUNISHMENT. IT IS TORTURE. WE DO NOT KILL ANIMALS IN THE SHELTER THIS WAY OR DEATH ROW INMATES. THEY HAVE PROTECTION, WHY DOESN'T TERRI?

I just listened to Sean Hannity's interview with the parents...they filed a POLICE REPORT on alleged abuse by the husband!!!! Also, 33 sworn affidavits by doctors who examined Terri were ignored by this asshole Judge Queer, I mean Greer, pun intended.

Why can't Pres. Bush just say, "hey, I'm in charge and I say, let her live?"...isn't he above the Supreme Court? What's the point of having someone reign over the country if he doesn't even have the power to stop this atrocity?

I said it many times before and I'll say it again...we don't treat prisoners or animals in the shelter this way or PETA, civil rights, animal activists, you name it, would step in and be outraged.

I admire Terri's family, they are handling themselves with dignity...something their precious Terri doesn't have.

Because Terri cannot function "normally" we are abnormally putting her to death. Her only crime is being helpless, unable to defend herself.

She's not on a respirator or in pain, dying from some dreaded disease. The only disease is bias toward anyone with a mental handicap, who cannot fend for themselves.

What about others, who are oxygen dependent due to asthma, ephysema, people on kidney dialysis(a former coworker of mine's husband was on one, and continued to live and work while he got his treatments), people on pacemakers.

Are you saying that anyone who cannot live without some medical device keeping them alive should be taken off these supports?

Terri is not suffering from a terminal illness. Everyone who thinks she is not being murdered by starvation may be, however.

Those of you who have a great emotion about the life of Mrs. Schiavo, do you also worry about all the deaths in Iraq and what are you going to do about it?

On the subject in question, when my Dad passed away, the hospital wanted to know if we wanted to put him on life support. He'd had 4 strokes in two days and my Mom was at her wits end. But her, myself, brother and sister made the decision jointly, to let him go in peace. I, too, know what it means to let someone you love go when there's no chance of recovery. I'm just not convinced that in Terri's case that her situation was hopeless. That's my problem. She's been without food and water for 6 days now and it won't be long before it's over. It would be different if there was a plug to pull and she died within minutes. This is very slow and torturous.
