Terrible day for the fire department..two firefighters were killed in the Bronx today. Another was killed in Brooklyn. 3 more of our heroes have mane the supreme sacrifice. May they rest in peace.
Mikey do you know where in Brooklyn? My friend called me the other day, an apartment building right near her went up in flames and 17 families were displaced. It was a five alarm fire. She lives in the Greenpoint section of Brooklyn.
I heard about the Bronx fire but didn't know that any firemen had died!!!! Where was that fire at?
RIP.

The Bronx fire was at E 178th Street, in Morris Heights. So basically somewhere between University and Jerome Avenues.
The Brooklyn fire was in East NY. Not sure what street.
I belive the two Bronx firefighters died when they were forced to jump out a 5th story window. The Brooklyn fire was in a house. The Bronx fire was caused by faulty wiring that lit up a matress.

I feel for their families. I hope knowing that they died doing what was right, helping others, helps a little.
