Hey it's coming, anywhere from 15" to 30" of snow. Man can you imagine the snow forts we could build or how big frosty can get? We haven't had much snow thus far and I think this is going to make up for it. Remember the big snow storms we used to get? Old fashioned winters that's what they are called.I can't wait to take the grandkids sleigh riding tomorrow and snowmobiling.
I guess NYC will come to a standstill. Here by tomorrow afternoon everybody will be out and about. Smiler

Norie, I just got in from playing in the snow with the dogs. It's about 3-4" deep in Astoria so far.

Not too good in my neck of the woods either. I don't even want to think about digging out. Long Island is taking a beating.

New Yorkers...

Don't you think it's odd we have had so many blizzards recently?

I mean in the last 15 years we have had about 5 blizzards. And like 4 of those are in the last 5 years? Something like that.

Hot cocoa for everyone at my house.

I remember that my Mom always had it waiting for us when we came in from playing in the snow.

The weather's nuts everywhere...anywhere from the 70s to freezing temp's in a matter of 24 hours. We were 72 the other evening, and when I woke up, it was blustering winds and dropping temps...all in just a few hours.

I'm sure glad I'm in a warmer climate...well, sometimes...it gets cold here in TX too. But I sure don't miss the really heavy blizzards.

I get two or three NY channels on my satellite dish and even Times Square looked bad.

Stay stay and warm everyone.

I remember many more blizzards and worse ones when I was a kid in the 50's & 60's.

Yes....I think it's odd that we've only had 5..
Used to be much colder and we would get a lot more snow than we have the last 20 years or so.

When our parents were younger, it was worse than that.

Me too Dennis, these snow storms are really few and far between. I remember it being a lot more colder too, and that was in NYC.Living upstate has been a lot more colder too, and much more snow. I guess it all goes in cycles.Do you ever stop and think how everything has a rhythm to it?
Hot cocoa and fresh baked bread at my house, all are welcomed. Wink
