I HOPE EVERYONE KNOWS THAT EVEN IF WE START DRILLING TOMORROW IT'S NOT GOING TO DO US ANY GOOD FOR AT LEAST 10 YEARS! SO THE PRESIDENT WILL SAY HE LIFTED THE BAN AND THE DEMOCRATIC CONTROLLED HOUSE DID NOT! WHAT A DISGRACE TO PLAY POLITICS WHEN WE NEED SOME HELP!!!WHY DOESN'T HE TRY TO DO SOMETHING PRODUCTIVE, LIKE SHUT THE HE LL UP!!!!! |

GOOFBALL, uh...I mean LUPO! Unless this "drilling" is 100% secure, AND environmentally friendly, it's only going to compound our problems. Didn't you watch any of the "Katrina" specials, about how the natural barrier reefs at the base of the Mississippi River had been so badly eroded by offshore drilling, there was no way Mother Nature could have used her natural ability to protect New Orleans from that unspeakable disaster? Yes, America should "wake up" -- to the fact that we need ALTERNATIVE sources of energy before the entire world implodes because of its dependence on 'black gold.' Without trees, MISSY, there would be untold massive destruction when the heavy rains hit anywhere in the world. Trees are part of Mother Nature's natural protectors so don't dismiss them as 'nothing important'! I'd rather have 500 trees planted than one more concrete, brick or steel building go up! We HAVE to get back to Mother Nature. She sustains us, and without her in good health and good spirits, she can also kill us..... |

It's estimated that we could possibly find about 42 billion barrels of oil. We consume 7.5 billion barrels a year, so if oil is found, it will last for about 5 years.
And who will be doing the drilling? The same oil companies that have been raping this country for years. I guess the 68,000 acres of federal land they have leased and not even touched is not enough for them. Maybe we should change our name to the United States of Exxon?
