It's hard to believe, but I am old enough to remember when entrepreneurs were actually building new structures in the Bronx rather than burning them down. I remember that there was an outcropping of rock in a parcel of land along Unionport Rd. near the E. 177th St. IRT station that we kids referred to, creatively, as "The Rocks". Before I left for college, some developer had undergone the enormous expense of buliding an apartment building of that parcel. I didn't see any of the construction, but he must have paid a fortune to prepare the lot for a foundation. Who could have foreseen how quickly the area would deteriorate?

Welcome back...it has been awhile. There is lots of building going on in the Bronx. Next trip I will take some pictures and show you. If I ever get a scanner I can post the pictures from my last trip.

Mike you really do not need a scanner. At most places you can get a CD with your photos when you get them developed. Just ask them to omit the naked ladies.

There haven't been any threads for me to post on. This board is under the envious and malevolent attack of people who want it to fail. I follow the suggestion that many on this board have posted. I ignore them. If they attack me directly, I will ignore them. It they post on a thread in which I am participating, I ignore them, and stop posting on that thread if necessary.

If you have ever been a director on any committee of any kind, you will know that what makes meetings last for-e-v-e-r is that every member of the audience wants to "have his say", even if the same thing has been said, in other words, (or even identical words), many times previously.

Don't respond in any fashion to posts by people whom you believe have a malicious intent and they will go away. They may come back from time to time to disrupt things, but when the newer members of this board are instructed as to who they are and what they are trying to do, the will leave permanently.

The most important thing to remember is, if you acknowledge them in any way, you lose.
