THE REPUBLICANS ARE BLAMING THE DEMOCRATS FOR FAILURE OF THE BILL THAT THE REPUBLICAN LEADERSHIP SUPPORTED.DIDN'T JOHN MCCAIN GO TO WASHINGTON TO SPRING A DEAL WITH THE REPUBLICAN LEADERSHIP TO SUPPORT THE BILL? REMEMBER HE SUSPENDED HIS CAMPAIGN AND WANTED TO CANCEL THE DEBATE TO DO THAT.
NOW YOU'RE BLAMING CLINTON FOR SIGNING A BILL THAT THE REPUBLICAN CONGRESS DEMANDED, OTHER WISE THEY WOULD OVERRIDE HIM. JOHN MCCAIN LED THE WAY, HE DEMANDED MORE DEREGULATION!THIS DIDN'T JUST START 10 YEARS AGO, THIS GOES BACK TO THE REAGAN YEARS CATHY!SO SINCE THE REAGAN YEARS WE HAVE HAS 1 DEMOCRATIC PRESIDENT THE REST HAVE ALL BEEN REPUBLICANS.
FANNIE MAE AND FREDDIE MAC WERE LENDING TO ANYONE, NOT JUST MINORITIES, ANYONE COULD GET A LOAN WITHOUT A CREDIT CHECK, WITHOUT A DOWN PAYMENT, WITHOUT PROOF OF FINACIAL ABILITY! IT'S THE LENDERS WHO BROKERED THE LOANS THAT WERE THE VILLIANS IN THIS MESS. YES THE PEOPLE WHO TOOK OUT THESE LOANS BARE A RESPONSIBILITY IN THIS TOO.WHEN YOU LOOK AT IT EVERYBODY GOT GREEDY! THE MAJOR BLAME GOES TO WALL STREET AND THE LENDING INSTITUTES. THEY SHOULDN'T GET A FREE RIDE. MANY HOMES WERE ALSO OVER VALUED, THAT IS WHAT'S CREATING SUCH HARVOC WITH THE BANKS FALLING. IF YOU SOLD YOUR HOUSE FOR WHAT IT WAS PURCHASED FOR YOU LOST TONS OF MONEY AND IT WOULDN'T BE ENOUGH TO PAY THE LOAN BACK.WHO WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR THAT? IT ALL HAS TO DUE WITH THE LENDERS WHO HIRE APPRAISERS, WHO IN TURN INFLATED THE VALUES OF THE HOMES.
EVEN TODAY HOME VALUES HAVE DECREASED BETWEEN 15-30%, WHO COULD AFFORD TO TAKE THAT KIND OF LOSS!
WHY CAN'T THE LENDERS SET THE INTEREST RATES AT LOWER LEVELS SO PEOPLE CAN STILL KEEP THEIR HOMES, AND THE BANKS CAN MAKE A LITTLE MONEY. THERE LIES THE PROBLEM, THE BANKS DON'T WANT TO MAKE A LITTLE MONEY THEY WANT IT ALL!THEY WOULD RATHER KEEP THAT HOME PAY THE TAXES ON IT TILL SOMEONE COULD AFFORD TO BUY IT. THAT COULD BE WHAT 10 YEARS OR MORE. THEY CUT THEIR NOSE TO SPITE THEIR FACES!
I ALSO LIKE THE IDEA OF A SPENDING FREEZE ON THE GOVERNMENT, PAY ONLY ESSENTIAL! IF IT DOESN'T START AT THE TOP HOW DOES ANYONE EXPECT TO CHANGE.

Losing (and regaining) faith is different for every individual. When I "left the ROMAN CATHOLIC Church" it was because I was SCREAMED at by some psychotic "priest" in a confessional booth at the tender age of 15. I never looked back, and have never been more content as I am right now, with my own re-established "personal relationship." Screw the Vatican, who cares what they say anymore? I sure don't. Bunch of hypocrites, just like the USA Congress.

Might we ask what he screamed at you? I'm tallying up the crimes of the clergy. Can we ever forget the rabid nun who bit our own Billy?

Perhaps the Rebbe has taken a sabbatical to his native Israel, trying to identify his roots, in order to determine whether he can reclaim ancestral land. His objective may be to open and operate a "Starbucks", or even better, "Junior's Delicatessen, Near East Division".

Maybe he can also obtain a part-time job as a Moyel; the salary isn't the greatest, but I HAVE heard that the tips are tremendous!
