Anyone hang out there. I loved ferry point park. It had a little of everything, waterfront, trees, ball fields, all a kid could want. It was also in walking distance for me.
They are now building a golf course on the other sdie of the bridge on the old landfill. It is Jack Nicklaus enterprise. It will be a private course but open to the public.
I remember it as being one of the best Parks to go to when we were growing up!! I can still smell the "LIGHTER FLUID" and the hamburgers & hot dogs cooking on the grills on a hot Summer day. Unfortunatly I can also remember reading about all the D.O.As. the Police would find out there every other day TAKE CARE!!

I was on the Whitestone Bridge this past saturday on the way to Louie and Ernies on waterbury ave. Went there with a few buddies after golf. Ferry point park looks the same and the golf course on the landfill is coming along !
