Hi all.

While browsing for "antiques" at the Salvation Army Thrift Shop on 3rd Ave and 139th St, I came across one of those old large padded-cover yearbooks.

The yearbook is from St Helena's High School, Girls' Department, 915 Hutchinson Rver Pkwy, Bronx, class of 1967. The name engraved on the cover is Kathleen Jane Gargan. She was known as "Kathy" by all her friends who signed the book. Her address is listed in the yearbook as 1919 McGraw Avenue, Bronx.

Also inside is a report card from 1967 signed by Catherine Gargan (maybe her mom?)

I bought it in the hope that one of you out there might be "Kathy", or know of her? I would be more than happy to give it to her. Or if she does not turn up, perhaps someone of the St. Helena H.S. class of 1967 would want it?

Funny, I lost my yearbook in 1987 in a bar (yes, I was young and tipsy that night!) and always thought it was kind of mean/lazy that whoever found it never mailed it back to my school. I didn't have the money for a new one; so that was the end of that. Maybe in 20 yrs someone will find mine in a junk shop and VOILA! I will get it back.

you can probably order it from your old school. They might have copies or the company that produced the yearbook may offer it.

My name is Rich and I graduated St. Helena's in 1967, (the boys school of course).
I had both the boys and girls yearbooks, but unfortunately they were lost over time.
I would love to know if you would be willing to sell the yearbook. I would pay for shipping, etc..... and naturally if Kathy should read any of this, I would turn it back to her..... only fair.
