I graduated from High School down in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and wasn't there long enough to meet anyone to go to the prom with. Plus my aunt, whom I was living with, wouldn't have sprung for the money needed. I worked part time after school, but didn't earn enough to go to a prom. It didn't bother me, though. Just being down in Florida in such a pretty place, with the beach and all, kept me contented. Proms are great, though. Magical stuff!

Very nice looking couple. Laurie, I'm amazed how closely you resemble my prom date. Her name was Jennifer Rodrigues, a little shorter than you...same features, same hair, she wore a yellow gown. I often wonder how she is doing today?

I went to an all boys highsxchool. I do not remember a prom. Anyway, I never went to any prom.

Poor Herbie, Didn't you have a girlfriend who had a prom?

I went to my girlfriends prom.Rosemary. Lived on 216th and bronxwood.Don't remember where it was ,but we wound up on orchard beach in a gown and tux.

We at least went home and changed before going to Orchard Beach to see the sunrise.

Schwartz, I don't think any of my friends went to a Prom.I thnk Proms may have become more popular after I was out of school.
