I remember being a soprano in Glee Club at Roosevelt and finding the music very uninspiring...Mrs. Tiefer and Mr. Bustin chose pieces like "Requiem Aeternam"....requiem for the dead, for us to sing, and it was deadly, truly. They were into somber music and I lost interest. I did make the All Borough Chorus, and was chosen by a Dr. Wilhowsky for this. I remember how nervous I was when I auditioned for him. I never got to go because my family discouraged me saying "oh you can never earn a living at that"....my daughter today is a wonderful artist because I didn't discourage her. I swore I wouldn't be like them, and I'm not. It was nice being chosen, though, and that in itself is a fond memory.

Never let any kindness, no matter how small, go unnoticed. God bless All!
