Hi all.
Was there an Ursuline Academy school/complex on this corner (later torn down to build Executive Towers)? I keep getting different stories...... Thanks! -Michael |

Yes, the school used to be on the site of your apartment building...moved up to the Grand Concourse and Bedford Park Blvd (still open) My sister graduated with the Class of 71.

Yes, there was an Ursuline Academy and convent and a grade school (with boarders too at an earlier time.) I attended high school there for 2 years until it had to close its doors in 1959. Some of us went to its sister school, Mt. St. Ursula in Bedford Park (still open). Others scattered. It was a sad time for us -- great school with dedicated teachers.
