There was a candy store on the corner of the Concourse and 182nd St. called Mama's, we would go there at lunchtime, seemed the guys from Creston JHS were always there too, it was always hard to get a booth there, but after the Creston guys would leave we had the place to ourselves. Anyone ever go to Mama's.

I went to Simon Stock for Jr. and Sr. years and I spent many hours at Mamas'. The cook named Gil was a great guy who tried to give advise to us in the slow afternoon hours while we nursed a Coke. School got out at 2:15 and we were at Mamas' until our train pass expired at 4:30. I loved that place!

Helen, what years did you go to Stock? I went to both the elem. and high school, graduated in 65. Did you go to the other candy store called the Randevous across on the other corner. Lots of Stock kids hung out there also.
