Lotty's was located across from Devoe Park on Father Zeiser Place and University Ave.It was between a Peter Reeve's and Davins Deli(I Think) It was popular with us kids growing up in the Tolentine section of Fordham Road in the late 50s and through the 60s.I'd like to hear if anyone else has memories of Lotty's as there is no mention of it in any Bronx literature. Thanks,Steve C.

Steve, I might know the candy store. I lived at 2470 University, one block north of Fordham and diagonally across the street from the park, in the mid to late fifties. I knew the owner's son (maybe from Clinton). I believe their name was Novack or Novick. Although I went in for smokes occasionally I didn't spend any significant time there. And, the name Lotty's is not familiar to me. Maybe I forget, maybe it was a different name when I knew it, maybe we're talking about different candy stores. I'm happy to talk about the old neighborhood with you though.
