The candy store on the corner of E 233rd Street near North Side savings Bank was Abe's. I know because he was a conpetitor of my Dad's Candy store on E 234th Street the name of my folks store was Micky Dolan's we were next to the Prestano Italian Bakery and a grocery store on the corner called Loven's I think there was a hoisery shop on the other side of us called Helene's, where you coud get a pair of nylons with a rhinestone and a black seam running up the back of the leg!! That sure does bring back memories of my Bronx youth I am now in WA state.
