Does anyone remember the name of the cndy store on 161st street & Walton Ave ?
It was down from the jewish deli.

We called it Hoffies. The Kids from my area went there all the time.

its a shame that with time all the great candy stores will be gone -- sometimes l wish they would leave things along

Don't know that anyone will see this as I'm a year "late to the party" I lived on 165th and Walton. The candy store I remeber on 161 and Walton was called "Murray's" It was owned (or run by) Big Murray and Little Murray. Stopped by about three years ago. No Murray but the store is still there.

Yes, the 2 "Murrays"... And we teens hung by the "rocks" directly opposite Murray's..
