I WENT OUT WITH ABOUT 8 GIRLS BEFORE I MET MY FIRST LOVE. HER NAME WAS TERRY AND SHE LIVED ON VILLA AVE NEAR 205 ST. I MET HER WHEN SHE WAS 13 YEARS OLD AND I WAS 15 YEARS OLD. I FELL DEEPLY IN LOVE WITH HER. WE WERE DATING FOR A LITTLE OVER A YEAR. ONE DAY I SAW HER MAKING OUT WITH SOME GUY. SHE DID NOT KNOW THAT I SAW HER. I WAS SO HURT THAT I LEFT THE AREA AND WENT TO LIVE WITH MY OLDER SISTER FAMILY FOR A YEAR. AFTER THAT I NEVER DATED ANY GIRL MORE THEN TWO DATES. THAT IS HOW I GOT THE NAME JOHNNY QUICK. AFTER TWO DATES I WAS GONE.

Yea, the Bronx guys, they are sooooo sweet and innocent. lol

Nice story Johnny, thanks for posting it, but I took your name all wrong I thought the "Quick" part meant something else.

My first date, I told this in another section some time ago. it was an older guy(no, it wasn't Jose) and we met in Manhattan, had a hot dog then went to his hotel room. I didn't make much money on that date, but I was young and had a lot to learn.

What was there name? His name was Robert but he looked more like a John.

What did they look like? He looked like a latin guy, very well dressed but spoke with no particular accent.

How long did it last? Maybe two hours.

Do you still think about them? No, not really.

How far did you with your first love? I really don't understand the question but if I am right in what you are trying to say, then I will say that we went all the way.

Yvonne, you sweet thing you, perhaps if the timing was different and I saw you on 183rd St.
you could have took a ride in my chevy and we could have beeen friends, but alas, I was gone by 1969.......what a thought you and me.

But on to the topic......I will repeat for Danny my first love was my Angel, she was 15 I was 21, I saw her singing on the street corner with a group of girls, long blonde hair, the most beautiful blue eyes ever and a voice of an Angel....we went together for four years, we were engaged to be married and I did something real stupid and lost her, we both married other people, I kept my eye on her for years, went to her concerts, her kids and mine are the same ages....after she became a widow I had my chance and I took it, flew to Fl. and spent a day with her, still a beauty, she forgave me for my sins against her and I was able to still follow her life.....when she laid dying, I was with her 24/7, I've lost my Angel, but she is in my heart, not a day goes by that I don't think of her and think of all the "what ifs".

I know that I'm leading with my chin here.
But, 4 boyfriends in a span of 40 yrs, no I don't think she "got around". She was the most respected person I ever knew, and everyone that loved her, adored her.

Lets look at the years with each gentleman
Johnny Gorman 59/62
Jose thats me 63/67
Husband 67/1994(he died)
Bronxboy 2001/2002(married ahole he destroyed her)

Now shut your mouth and go away.

My first love was a beauty named Valerie Hall. She was striking and very tall. She was of Scandanavian background, 5'10" or 5'11", dirty blonde hair and hazel eyes. I remember seeing her for the very first time on March 10, 1970 while visiting a mutual friend. I looked at her and knew I had to go out with her. On March 30, 1970, we started dating and did date for over a year and a half. I wish I wasn't such a jerk or we could have dated even longer. She was really special.

I met my first husband in Slattery Park over on Valentine Ave. he and his cousin Hector would hang out there, I was 16 he was 17 and a highschool dropout, back then I thought he was the most wonderful guy in the world, I loved him sooo much, thinking I knew everything in the world and was so smart I also dropped out 4 months before graduation, we married and I thought in my mind that life would be good to us never mind that I didn't think about things such as rent/electric, jobs and babies. I grew up fast, faster than I wanted to and missed out on a lot of teens things that I now regret. We have since divorced, and I don't think of him hardly at all.

Hi Paradise, interesting story. I read your other posts in Antonio's topic but this time I get to know a bit more about yourself.

I too feel the same as you do, I kinda missed out on being a teen during my younger years, I had different problems than what you had but still I wish I could go back and relive it and try again. That's why I have difficulties answering posts about my teen years on the forum,, I didn't really have a teen years.

Thanks for that story Paradise.

PS-I'm also from the Slattery park area.

Ha,Ha,Ha, poor Miss Paradise, and who told you not to marry that crazy PR, who told you to finish school, ah yes, you wouldn't listen though, my Angel always had your back and tried to steer you in the right direction. Back then you made your own mistakes, as I did and we both paid for it. I heard that Victor also is on his 5th or 6th marriage, he'll never learn either. Oh, the stories we could tell, right Miss Paradise, I remember one April afternoon I delivered groceries to you and................
