MY FIRST DATE WAS IN 1951, I WAS 11 YEARS OLD, HER NAME WAS MARY SHE LIVED ON HONEYWELL AVE. and 180 st. I LIVED ON MOHEGAN AVE AND 180 st. we went to a movie on tremont ave. IT WAS ALSO THE FIRST TIME I EVERY KISS A GIRL. JOHN

I lived around the corner from you 179th and Daly. Do you remember the fruit store on Daly and 180th, that was my uncles store.

YES IT WAS, I LIVE ON MOHEGAN AVE FROM 1940 UNTIL APRIL OF 1953. I AM SORRY BUT I DO NOT REMEMBER YOUR UNCLE STORE, WHAT I DO REMEMBER WAS A BIG STORE ON 180 st. JUST PASS DALY AVE. Oh my Goodness, that's a great memory, 7th grade Valentine's dance at St. Simon Stock, I had a crush on Clifford, and he finally asked me to go to the dance, I remember being so nervous and Sister Veronica was standing on the sidelines watching everyone with her evil eye.

Those were good years, we had some of the best kids/friends growing up in the Bronx. I've lost touch with everyone.

LOL, Johnny...I had a similar experience..the gal's Mom chased me two blocks! I figured I better stop before she started screaming for the cops!

John, that is the 3rd Ave El at Fordham Road. You can upload avatars from your computer by clicking the Back in the Bronx.com Bulletin Board link at the top of the page..that will take you to your Personal Zone where you can edit your profile and upload pictures from your home computer!
