Barry B.- thanks for the encouraging reply, I'm really looking forward to seeing the old neighborhoods after a 40 year absence (which feels like 100 years) I can't believe that when I lived in NJ for all those years when I was 40-50 years old I did not go back to visit and now when I'm 67 and 800 miles away, I have this strong urge to do so.

Joe, you will very pleasantly surprised at some of the ways things are changing in the Bronx. We go back to Arther Ave, the Bronx Zoo and Yankee Stadium whenever we can. Both my husband and I grew up in the Bronx and we lived there until 1971. The neighborhoods we lived in have changed but some for the better.
