Yankees beat Tampa Bay this afternoon 9-6. Seattle lost, giving the lads in pinstripes the 2 game lead in Wildcard race. Yankees remain 5 games back in AL East. Boston hosts Baltimore tonight. GO ORIOLES

Give them alittle more time and they just might beat the blood soxs for first place in the AL East --- remember they are the best

Don't give up on them yet there still about 22 games left -- and remember tampa bay for some reason has the yankee's and the blood soxs number they lofe to everyone else and beat only the best.............

Yankees lost today 7-1 to Seattle!

Mike, Do you really think they can get the wild card?

Hope springs eternal colin...there seems to be a big lack of consistency!....swept Boston...lost 2 of 3 to one of the worst teams in MLB...and now the WC contender coming off a lost 9 straight run beats them soundly 7-1...I don't know what to think!

Boston LOST to Toronto 6-1
Detroit LOST to Cleveland 6-5

I never went to a play off or to the Series. I lived 3 blocks from the stadium and could get in any time I wanted except the games that counted.

Yankess are 1.5 out and 5.5 up in the WC

I liked the curse on the red soxs. That is to have a good team but to loose when it counts

Somehow, I don't think these last 9 games coming up will be a walk in the park. Have you noticed that Mariano has to have a little drama with all his recent closers. Boston is NOT going to go quietly off to Wild Card status.
