Are the Yankees getting a new house? Not being up north anymore ,I've lost touch with everyday goings on .I know the Mets are building one but don't know about the Yanks.

The city should not caved into that jerk. The old stadium is one of the best in BB; but he could only if 10 luxtury boxs in it. The park he is ripping out has always been well used. That where the little league plays. If he did not buy all the high priced worthless plyers he could get a great team and make a bigger profit too. He is aiming at the first $50 Hot dog in Baseball

I lived 3 blocks from the stadium and always went. I stopped going about 10 years ago. The minor leagues are better . You can see the game not sit 100 rows back. A hot dog does not cost what a full meal costs. Best of all no George

The new stadium - less seats for the general public but more luxury boxes.
I get to the stadium once a year now that I live in Florida. My kids get me a couple of seats for Father's day. After the game we go to Arthur Avenue for the best Italian food around. It makes the trip worth it.
I drive across the state to see them play the Devil Rays once or twice a year at Tropicana Field - no problem getting really good seats at a fair price.
I live less than two miles from the Mets spring training site. We go to watch the Saint Lucie Mets of the Florida State league - Dollar Thursdays - $2 ticket, $1 for a hot dog, $1 for a small beer or a soda. Two tickets, 4 hot dogs, 2 drinks, 10 bucks for a night out for two - and I get to sit just about anywhere in the ballpark.
I still enjoy baseball on TV but never go to a game any more,it's way out of my price range. I really enjoy watching my grandkids play thier little hearts out. It's the best.

I don't go to the ballgames. It is not worth the crowds and driving home late at night. I watch it on TV, but it is nice to go occassionally to the ball park to see what it is really like.
I recall many years ago I would watch the Yankee game on a black and white TV. When I got to the ball park I saw that the grass was green.
Baseball is a game meant to be played in the day time, and in warm weather. The day games in general draw better then night games. The cubs with terible teams use to get good attendence, when the games were in the sunlight. TV executives do not wake till the sun is down, there trasilvan roots, we are stuck with night baseball. They have made a scham of the olimpics. They show the sports 18 hrs after they are played, Prime time. In Canada they are live

gosh 90 bucks for a box seat!!! I remember paying 5.50 for my seat at the opener of the NEW, now old stadium back in 76....I live about 30 min from Dolphin Stadium and go to Marlins games now and its only 25 bucks for a good seat, easy in and out, no crowds!
but spring training I go to Jupiter, Port St Lucie and the Yanks old home in Ft Lauderdale and love the atmosphere, small crowds, fast games and up close to the players, cant beat it...and no I did not go to the 2003 series because they wanted 2500 for a good seat...unreal...GO YANKS
...perfect scenario for the modern baseball org - let businesses and corps buy up all available seating and luxury boxes in advance, then let THEM worry about brokering to fans and guests...
. . .it was heard that at this point in time, with nary a spring training game played yet, that "opening day" and "final game" regular season tickets are already GONE... at BOTH stadiums... including the interleague games of mets vs. yankees... stubhub.com may be the last hope . . .
I'm a DIE-HARD YANKEES FAN,And we have FREDDY SEZ at the stadium.Freddy walks around the stadium with a frying pan & big spoon,People get to bang on the fry-pan & It makes a bell sound,You can even hear on T.V..And he makes his own little news paper he give's out.Every stadium has someone,We have FREDDY SEZ,THANK GOD & GOD BLESS
I lived 3 blocks from the stadium. We knew the people that worked there and could get into the games free; except for the world series. Our friends who lived on Gerard ave would let us up to the roof on there building to see those games. There was a guy who put a bench on the water tower and saw all the games from there.
