Ive always been a Yankee fan; but never liked boss George. I read an article in the Post the boss was in a very bad mental state. His kids are running the team. I hate to hear that about anybody.

dbob, I saw that article. He may have not been always politically correct, but no one deserves to have that happen near the end of life.

Things are looking up. Too bad Phil Hughes didn't have a better outing. It would mean alot if he can be a solid or at least a competent starter for the rest of the year.

Overall, the youngsters are doing well on the field and keeping everything light on the bench and in the clubhouse with the veterans.

I am glad they didn't panic and get rid of any of the young blood. Looks like some good prospects for the future.

I agree. Brian Cashman is building that Scranton PA Triple A Club with some great young talent that we can expect to see in pinstripes down the road

When I was a kid I lived 3 blocks from the stadium; I could get in any time I wanted for free. With all the great teams they had in the 50's they never drew like they do now. Even though they had less TV then and it was in a good area. I can never understand that. It was never good even after the 2 other teams left NY

dbob, just yesterday I found an old photo of the ticket kiosks in 1958 just before gametime. It was amazing to see all the men going in with suit jackets, ties and hats.

It was more formal then, and it was not just baseball games people dressed up for everything. When I worked I wore a suit and tie. I was paid to do it. I would be darned to dress up if I was not paid for it. When they told me I had to dress up at a resurant or play it got my dander up. I looked out of place a lot. Today I fit in.
