Alex and Henreys. A very fameous resturant in its day. Steak and Italian food. That area had alot of high end places, for the court houses and the stadium. All gone now.

Dominicks on Arthur Ave. I had the chance to get back there with a high school classmate after over 20 years (having moved to CA) and was thrilled to see it was still there. Definitely modernized since may last visit in the early 80's but the food was as great as I remembered.

Well, we ALL have our pizza stories, especially if you come from the Arthur Ave part of the Bronx, so let me tell you about Luigi's. It was on Westchester Ave between Evergreen and Colgate Aves, and they used about the first brick oven available, so the this crust and the cheese were incredible. My brother would give me $3 every saturday night to go there so he could make out with his girlfriend in our apartment....we both made out pretty good!!!!! Any other evergreen avenuers around????
