When you are away from NYC it is hard to find a good pizza. Even those that advertise "New York Pizza" are not that good. I have also tried most of the frozen pizzas and find that 2 of them are better than those in the pizza places here, The brands are Fruchetta and DiGiorno. I usually buy the thin or ultra thin crust.
NY Pizza is different then pizza in other parts of the country Its thiner crispy crust more sauce more chesse I like it that way but the rest of the counrty disagress

DOwn here in Florida I find that pizza, bagels and Chinese food leave alot to be desired. In NY I never toasted a fresh bagel as I found that it would ruin the flavor and texture of aproperly made bagel. Here toasting is a must. Seldo eat pizza here as I wait to when I'm back in NY. Same goes for Chinese food although we do have a take-out that has good food.
whenever you eat anywhere out of ny its not good you just find yourself getting used to it ...as everyone knows the secret to good pizza, bagels etc.. is the ny water
