count me in too, guys! Remember standing inside Nedicks on Fordham rd in the summertime? Those were the days my friend.....glad to have been part of it...
I' gonna have to go with White Castle either on Allerton or Bruckner Blvd and Soundview.
The 12-cent burgers still bring back memories, especially remembering ordering through that that loudspeaker from your car window, and having them delivered to the car!!
And of course, lest I forget, all for the grand cost of twelve cents each!
I just stopped by the one on Bruckner and Soundview the other day; 59 cents each, had eight, tall coke, and walked out with a smile that was so familiar.

We had a White Castle on Fordham Road next to Roosevelt HS...used to buy them by the bagful! That location is still open and there is also another store on Webster at 183rd St.
Yeah, I did forget to mention that in addition to the smile at eating my hamburgers, I also had the familiar "White Castle Hamburger Onion Burp".....lol

Oh yeah, dare I forget to mention that, I was somewhat taken back when I opened my bag of burgers, I see these alien white and ORANGE cartons holding the burgers. I distinctly recall those white caontainers with dark BLUE print along with the drawing of the Castle. What WILL they do next....use actual beef in the burgers, take away my pickle?........lmao

I knew some guys who caught the maryjane munchies and insisted on White Castle onion rings with Jet cheeseburgers. Stoned they drove from Fordham to Yonkers to swallow down their cravings.
Well, I suggest a White Castle party in the Bronx, with the person eating 10 or more, a large fries and a large coke getting the prize of being treated to the meal!

Wasn't White Castle up a block from Roosvelt HS not right next to it. It was on the corner of the next block. Never ate in there, enjoyed City Island too much, loved going out there with my Angel, with the top of the 56 Chevy down watching the boats, water and eatting shrimp drinking a ice cold beer, she drinking a coke with the wind in her hair blowing. Thanks for bringing back those memories.

Yeah, its amazing the associations we have with our past...our first girl or guy, good food, music, sports, driving around in a 57 chevy convertible, going to the Paradise, and for me, wanting to kill that goldfish swimming around in the little pond they had set up in the lobby of the Paradise!!....just kidding

Yes, that would be fun. We can call it the Heart Artery Clogging Party. LOL
