I used to go to Jahn's like everybody else in the Bx. There stuff was not that good. Ice cream or food. I liked Adie Vallins on 161st. Scrafts was good and classy. There is a Scraffts in Las Vegas, at NY, ny. Its not real and not good.

Krums on the GC across the street from the Paradise was my choice. I worked in the soda fountain in 67 after school and on weekends.

I use to go there all the time - the haircutting place went to was close by (Between the Two). I believe it was the late 70's. I moved to San Diego from 78 thru 81 - it closed sometime during my San Diego life.

There still is one Jahns left. Its own by the family that started it in the Bronx. The place is in Queens. The chain is over 100 years old

I remember the Jahn's in Queens. It was on ,,,sheesh, 35 or 37 st around the corner from the main shopping street, 82nd st, one block from the el. I would have thought that store would have been long gone by now, the stores were changing to South American styled stores when I was there. One store I found to be strange, a Chinese/Cuban resturaunt, I don't know, it just seemed a strange combo at the time.

The store has been there for 80 years I think. The first store in the Bronx must have been closed that long. I only went to the place on kingsbridge RD
