... the 2nd Annual Kids
Comic-Con will return to the
campus of Bronx Community College
in New York City, Saturday,
March 29,2008 featuring a
day of comics events designed
for young readers. The Comic-Con's
founder, Alex Simmons, announced
that next year the show will launch
the Kids Comic-Con Comics Awards
to honor the best comics for kids
and their creators; and he also
announced that the New York ComiCon
will become a sponsor. The KCC
will focus on bringing young people,
comics professionals, parents, librarians,
and teachers together to have
fun with comics, but also to learn
more about educational potential of
the comics medium. Simmons stressed
that there will be "no gore,
extreme violence, nudity, or vulgarity.
Just tons of funs."
Bronx Community College is located
at University Ave @ 181 street.

Are you into comics????

Try checking out the Vertigo series of comics from DC comics. John Constantine, Swamp Thing, Doom Patrol,Preacher, Sandman and others. They're nothing like the comics of the old days,, Vertigo are much better.

...hello & wh'sup yvonne - -
...PREACHER(ennis/dillon) was
extroadinary and deserves a movie...
i'm currently also reading ennis' THE BOYS...
you've probably read david lapham's
STRAY BULLETS...? or his current work,
YOUNG LIARS - which looks to be very
interesting.
All of the foregoing, yvonne, are
not of the usual superhero fanfare,
but, like PREACHER, feature offbeat
characters reacting in perverse
situations...
  • yes, yvonne....i'm we're into comics...

Hi Asphalt,, I'm sorry but I never heard of Stray Bullets,, I'll have to ask around if some of my more "learned" comic book friends read this. Another two great comics are "Shade the Changing Man" And "The Invisibles" by Morrison,, I love the character "Lord Fanny" in the Invisibles, lol

Ya got me interested in comics again, I got to dust off some of my graphic novels and re-read them.
