You remember Super 8s? I have GOBS of them. I'm heavily into Film and Music. I really should make a Career out of showing my Super 8s to Bronxites and Beyond. I'm just a walking, talking Film Festival is what I am.
I also have other stuff like The World Trade Center Under Construction and very important other Films. Thanks! |

I thought Super 8's were motels.

Super 8s were a Beautiful format. Short-lived as it was, I missed a lot but I caught a lot. On the same token, I caught a lot but I missed a lot!
I'm the first one, for instance, who filmed Brandon Steiner of SteinerSportsMarketing and guess what, he's on the Super 8 Format. I filmed the World Trade Center Under Construction, including surrounding neighborhoods (which looked a lot different then they look today. When I shot these Films the surrounding areas were closer to run-down tenements than admirable skyscrapers.) The way it works is a certain amount of stills are shot in succession, say 24 FPS. No sound, but gives the illusion of a Movie and what Movies they are! They're beautiful. They pop up on Channel Thirteen (which I have on now) every now and then. They're coming back because they're Retro, and I've got Tons of Retro. In fact, I just found out everyone will be able to catch me on The Judge Maria Lopez Show May 9th and 25th talking about my Films! It's going to be wonderful. It's been a long time since I've been on National TV. I'll give everyone from here to Malaysia more info and reminders about my Historic Appearance coming up with Judge Maria Lopez! |

Hi.. Have you transferred any of the super 8 to DVD or VHS?
Hi Tom,
Thank you for asking about my Super 8s. They were transferred to Beta Tapes for the first 70s Singers/Songwriters Infomercial produced by Time-Life because there was some professional interest in them. Even though *fairly* recently, CDs were unheard of at that time. So I have them on two Beta cartridges. They're also on hours long VHS's, which is how I want them. The problem is there's suddenly a big transfer problem from one VCR to the other. They come out, but no matter how much I configure the picture is not to my liking. So the Format now is VHS where I watch them. I must say it's amazing how much interest there is in my Super 8 Films. They've been mentioned in a Super 8 Film Festival before. In fact just today I got an email from Upstate New York from a woman who lives in the same little Bungalow Colony I spent every summer at in Sullivan County. Where I grew up with the Vanilla Fudge rock group. I have some great footage from there also, the now non-existent Fort Roosa Gap for instance where I once found an old Civil War Uniform in. I wonder how many of you saw me on Judge Maria Lopez yesterday talking about some of my Film Collections. There is some hot activity going around the Internet right now about my historic appearance there. I'm just curious, Tom, why the Inquiry? I'm always on the lookout for a Film Promoter/Publicist. I guess Judge Maria is hard to top though. Let me know what's going on. Thanks! Scott |

Hey Scott............
Well, I missed you on Judge Lopez Just wondering if your videos may be avaiable for purchase. You obviously have some good memories archived there and I'd jump at the opportunity to see them. |

Hi Tom,
I have so many videos. How many Videos of the early 70s Bronx are actually available? Do you or anyone reading this know the answer? The thing is I have some 'extraordinary' videos of all Bronx ppl and beyond. You may not believe it, but I think I have the world's most extraordinary Videos and Films. Would you like to see some samples of my Work? This is all Bronx here. You can see from the background. The Music is well, Beyond Reason. Bigger than the Beatles I say and if there are differating opinions I've already pointed out I cannot and will not be reasoned with when it comes to my Music. So it's save the bother for anyone. I won't even hear it. I'm also the recipient of the biggest write-up in World History for what I did at the California Jam, and did it right here again in the Bronx. There may be a Press Conference soon. I already get the world's to press both online and offline. I'm trying to break the biggest news story ever in World History but haven't been able to do so yet. Seven Screen Freezes created by artcinco of My May 9th Judge Maria Lopez Appearance are seen here- http://tinyurl.com/37t5jt The first repeat comes on May 25th. The world's most Unique Musical Films Ever- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GpZsmWuWnbY http://www.ifilm.com/ifilmdetail/2471611 Unfortunately I don't have any of my festival-noted Super 8 Works online, and I have lots OF them. These include the Title "The Greatest Athlete Who Ever Lived" guess what-a Bronx Guy like us and filmed in the Bronx. Let me know what I can do about better distribution. I need Marketing and Distribution and I can turn the Bronx into the Center of World Tourism and Attention. |

Hey...
Viewed the video, did you win the case??? Gee, I have no idea of how many videos of the 70's there are, I've never actually seen any offered. Probably could make a small bundle with copies via an auction site though. There was a guy (probably still is) selling DVD's of his family home movies at Freedomland. Another guy sells his DVD's of stuff he shot on Okinawa during the 1980's. Let me know if you ever get them on DVD. Certainly some nostalgic stuff on there, eh? |

I lost the battle but I think I won the War on JML. Btw the thing's coming back tomorrow, Friday at 1 PM my time. This will be the first repeat. Last I checked it's not listed on the website, but I've been told by the producers the first encore is Friday.
If you want to see part of what transpired it's already up on YouTube: http://youtube.com/watch?v=l7Gac3AthnY Let me know what you think. I appreciate your Ideas about making DVDs from my Home Movies. I think I have a Goldmine here. I just don't know how to market them. You say Auction Site, perhaps I should check eBay under Films or Super 8 categories? Thanks for the Lead. I have great movies with great Titles. I'm just not a great marketer. Scott |

scott when was the california jam,,,i love music too and never heard of it??

kgbee-
It's a pleasure hearing from you. At the California Jam untold many thousands of ppl came to stand in a dirt lot for 14 hours to hear the Greatest Music Ever Played on One Day. And we heard the Greatest Music Ever Played on One Day. I'm the only one who recorded it. For a crack course of what the Jam is all about, please visit two of my Websites- http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/California_Jam/ and www.californiajam.com From the Tycobrahe Sound Engineer's Report: In the early stages the Jam producers were estimating an attendance of approximately 60,000, and the initial objective was to provide coverage only to a distance of 1,000 feet from the stage. One of the first factors considered was the placement of the staging area within the infield to take advantage of the prevailing winds. The stage was set on the western quadrant of the field so the prevailing westerly winds would carry the sound eastward across the audience area. "We were lucky," said Jim Gamble, Tycobrahe Vice President and Director of Engineering, "The wind blew just the way it was supposed to all day long. If it didn't, there would be nothing we could have done to compensate . . nothing." -Wayne Sentis |

Hi, Scott. I'm sorry to hear that you didn't win your court case. I think your Bronx movies would be very marketable if put on a CD. I graduated ASHS in 1973 (January but part of June list). Sorry to say I don't remember you.
Drop me a line if you're not to busy. Uwe Mueller Walnut Creek, CA |

Hi Uwe,
Thanks for watching me on Judge Lopez. I had a good time talking about California Jam and stuff. Not only do I have some great Films of the Bronx, these include some Films of Stevenson High School as well! I have Mr. Silverbush, and I believe I have Mr Nanni and Loonan from the Auto Shop class. Like you said I really *should* begin to market these Films. I just don't know how but I *know* they would be very profitable. I have some world-astounding Material on these Films, plus I can use some of my historic Judge Maria Film, some California Jam Film, lots of Films. Thanks for asking, Scott. Please get back to me with your ideas and suggestions. I also have some more remarkable Films from Sullivan County, all over the place. I'm the world's most unique and incredible "Living Film Festival." I need a Marketer. Any leads? |
Scott, I wish you luck in whatever you decide to do with your films.
Precious little is done in the way of portraying the 70's music and lifestyle we enjoyed. If you have that on tape, please put it to dvd. I'd love it, and so would many others from our generation. Growing up in the 70's wasn't so bad. |
The 60's were not bad either!

Oh hey, sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I am *so* getting called on the Internet. Thanks for your interest in my Films from the 70s. I believe I gave some descriptions of my Films. I have 8 titles on Super 8 from the early 70s, and I've been in touch with Jim Bouton who appears on the Films. I had a disaster while trying to transfer the VHS's to DVDs. Most of these dang DVDs require a special connection, a "co-axial" connection to a cable. Why? I don't intend to tape lots of stuff off the TV, these are for transfer of my personal Films. So unfortunately that's where I stand now. Thank you hanginout for your interest in my Films. That means a lot. These Films of mine really are unique and unusual. Like you say, they're saying a cultural statement. Actually? The more I think about this the more I think I've got a stone cold REVOLUTION on my hands. You're certainly a motivation to me to get this Thing going. Please talk to me more privately or here. Scott |

HI SCOTT, I'LL BUY IT TOO......WHENEVER AND WHEREEVER LOL GET IT GOING
If you have a video card in your computer, you can get software that will let you transfer VHS videos straight to your computer. One software I know of called Magix Movie edit pro can do this. Then you can make dvds or put the vids up on Youtube or some other similar site. |
Thank you Yvonne that's great advice.
Big things may be happening. I get requests for my Films all the time. I'd like to do a Mass Distribution. I'm noted also as the only one who taped some the most early and incredible WWF Films like such stuff as the TV debut of Jessie "the Body" Ventura. Some of this was featured in the Wrestling HOF in Schenectady, NY. Great things happen in the Bronx! :-) |
