WRITE IT ON THE BACK OF YOUR ENVELOPES! I think this is a great idea. I will start writing this on the front of all my envelopes, too. You may have heard in the news that the post office has been forced to take down small posters that say " IN GOD WE TRUST ". The law, they say, is being violated. Anyway, I heard a proposed on a radio station show, that we should all write " IN GOD WE TRUST " on the back of all our mail.. after all, that is our national motto, and it's on all the money we use to buy those stamps. I think it is a wonderful idea. We must take back our nation from all the people who think that anything that may in some way offends them should be removed. It has been reported that 86% of Americans belive in GOD. Therefore, I have a very hard time understanding way there is such a mess about having " IN GOD WE TRUST " on our money and having God in the pledge of ALLEGIANCE. Could it be that we just need to take action and tell the 14% to sit down and shut up? JOHNNY

Johnny, I agree with you 100%. I have two of the posters..one here at the house and one hanging in my office at work. The ACLU is the cause of a lot of these problems! (my opinion..please..no rants!)

Mike,,, I am going to rant, I love to rant so here goes,, rant, rant, rant. Lol
Now the serious part. Mike and Johnny, what you say is very good hearted, but it’s silly, it’s like the people who protest by driving around in their cars with their headlights on to show support for some cause or another. What your people should do is play the same game as the people who want to ruin your lifestyle. What I mean is, your side has to become a bit more radical, a bit more than just writing words on a letter. The other side has always used activism and rough style tactics to get their way, whether it’s minorities rioting, or gays disrupting church services, or tree huggers living in trees. You must do the same if you want your lifestyle to continue on. OK, I do understand that most people who think like you and Johnny are law abiding and don’t have time to be activists, unlike people from the Looney fringes who have a overwhelming supply of Bums and hooligans to take up the militant parts of activism. Here’s something your side should try, take the tree huggers for example and use their tactics for your own. Don’t ask the town to build a manger on the town square, you lot must go into the town square and build your own manger and protect it like the tree huggers protect a tree. You must work in shifts to stand guard and protect the manger from being dismantled, day and night. Then one of two things will happen, one: nothing will happen and your manger will be standing all through the Christmas season, two: the town will send the police to break up your group and dismantle the manger. Think of how this will look on TV,, the police wearing their helmets and shields carrying clubs will be forcing you into police wagons, just so they can destroy a manger you built. This will look similar to the Romans rounding up Christians in old times, the public relations aspect will look bad on the town and others around the country will react with anger and maybe similar events will come up around the country. Also, you must bring people with cameras, hidden cameras as well just in case the national news chooses to ignore the police bashing event. Posting a vid on the net nowadays is more powerful than the nightly news, people will view it on the net, many people. I am sorry that it has come to this,, that you have to become activists to save you way of life, but if you don’t you’re going to lose it. There are other examples of what you can do to keep your way of life, just look at how the Looney’s do it and follow their lead, use their tactics as your own. Ya gotta get a bit more radical. Learn from the IRA,,get a political wing to your group and get a militant wing. |

Yvonne! You are too much! Fantastic thinking, everything I have been saying for years,it's up to the people to 'take a stand' so to speak, In my small world, I say the words Merry Christmas at loud in the department stores when I am wished a 'happy holiday', I usually ask the clerk what holiday it is that we are having, and they say Christmas, and, in every case they wind up wishing me a Merry Christmas. I wear a big gold crucifix around my neck, I would welcome someone to tell me to remove it, hahaha they'd have to remove my head first, put a manger on your front lawn, see if anyone tells you to remove it, yeah right, but in these small instances I will put my money where my mouth is.Thank you for your truthfulness it's too bad that Americans have no backbones left, they always use the excuse, 'well we cannot get down to their level'.....OH YES WE CAN!!!

BA, wise-up. No one will complain about any religous symbol on your lawn, No one will ask you to remove your cross.
You people are making a mountain over a mole hill. Christianity is still the major religion in the U.S., by far. Your Christian bashing complaint just make you feel very weak about your religion. The people that should complain are those of other religions who do not get equal time. Have you heard a clerk or ad say Happy Chanukah or Happy Kwanza. The answer is no. Have you heard Chanuka music being played on the radio and in stores? Everyine is forced to say Merry Christmas even to people who are not Christians. I aint going to take it anymore. Happy Holidays to all. |

Dear Herb: I guess you did not read the posts above mine. Thank you. Merry Christmas to all.
Yvonne nice post made me think. Herb chill
out. Just tell people which holiday you observe and they will wish you a happy what ever but to say that people in this country aren't trying to take down christian values just isn't true. It's obvious from your post that you want people to give more respect to you and your religion so take Yvonne's advice and get active. "Happy Holidays" is politically correct BS. |
Well, well, welcome Gibby. You are a person of sense, I hope you stay. |
Hey people, I don't want anyones religous symbols on government property. Keep them in your home, your churches and your lawns.
Happy Holidays is fine with me. It is non-religous and applies to all, whether religous or not. I have never asked for more respect foR me or my religion, whatever it may be. I have never said people cannot say Merry Christmas, and I have never said that people and stores cannot say Happy Holidays. Some Christians want people and stores to stop saying Happy Holidays. They boycott stores that that sat Happy Holidays. |
First off, people have the right to boycott a store if the store tells the workers not to mention Merry Christmas and say Happy Holidays instead, people have the right to “Choose” to shop in whatever store they want and if they “choose” not to shop in a store that says happy holidays, well, this is their right.
Second, it doesn’t matter if the land is Gov’t property, one can still display a religious symbol , but they must do so as a form of protest. The Looney left has always used gov’t property to conduct their forms of protest and so can others. The million man march took place on the mall in DC,, Gov’t property. The looney left has conducted many protests on private property, whether it’s the tree huggers, environmentalists, animal rights people, they don’t care if it’s private property that they trespass on and create damage, well the Christian people should do the same. If the looneys have no problems trespassing on private property to make their demands met, then the Christians should put religious symbols up on Gov’t property, and stand with your symbols and defend them, like the Looney left has done for years. Make it a form of protest and let the Gov’t use strong arm tactics to remove you and your symbols, like I said before, it will look very bad on the gov’t if they forcible remove Christians defending a manger, people will get angry if they see this on TV. So, don’t worry about what the left says, when they quote the constitution, the constitution isn’t followed correctly today anyway. Don’t go to the courts and do battle, do it in the streets, on the town squares, it will be much more effective and maybe your actions will make some judges take another look at the constitution and interpret the constitution in your favor. This is how the left looneys do it, they find judges that interpret the constitution their way, your actions might make some judges see things your way. But as long as you do nothing the judges will do nothing as well, they are influenced by people’s actions, look at hate crime laws, these laws are totally unconstitutional yet the judges don’t go against them because they know some people will riot if they rule against hate crime laws, so it is people’s actions that influence judges. Don’t let others fool you. Don't forget, Gov't property is also your property as well, it belongs to the people and not an entity. |
Yvonne, you're all fired up and ready to go.
YOU GO GIRLFRIEND!!! LOL |
And we are not going to take it anymore, lol Only a bigot would post something like this. No one is forcing you to say anything. Don't like the Christmas Season? It's insulting to you? Stay home. You want Chanuka songs? Start a movement to get them on the air. Want people to say Happy Chanuka? Start a letter writing campaign, get the stores to include it. There is no reason all the holidays can't be mentioned instead of trying to silence one, include them all. So, while you occupy your time getting your Holiday recognized, our holiday will still be celebrated any way we see fit. If you don't have the time or the will to get yours recognized on the same scale as ours, don't blame us. Someone tries to silence the word Christmas, we will be louder, and the more people complain, the louder we will become. |
You know, I have a Muslim bus driver, picks me up every morning, gives me an Islamic greeting every day. WHO CARES??????? He means well, he is respectful, only a bigot would mind the greeting. Anyone who is insulted by the words "Merry Christmas" is a bigot.
LOL,, only thing is,,,I'm not a Christian, although I don't refuse Christmas gifts. lol I lived among the looney fringe in the lower east side, I see what works for them and others should use their tactics as their own. One thing I do find strange is when people say that they are "offended" by Christmas displays. I mean, even if the display is on gov't property, how is it offensive? Can you imagine the uproar if someone was to call jewish religous items "offensive" or muslim items for that matter. |
Well, I'm not a card carrying Christian either, lol but it's my background |
I am the same, but I don't have to follow the faith in order to see that there are some who want to destroy the Christain religion, usually it's the same crowd that wants diversity and wants us to grasp the muslim faith and try to understand the mulims better. |
Hanginout let me make it clear:
I do not want to hear religou muscic from any religion. I do not want to see religous holidays celebrated anywhere except in the home, church and religous schools. I do not push any religion. It should be a personal thing and not a public thing. I am not against anyone's religion or beliefs. Just don't force it on me or expose me to it. |
Herb, NO ONE should be forcing their religious beliefs on others! As for being exposed...I'm afraid the only way to avoid that is to lock yourself away from society.
Herb please explain what it is about Christmas time that offends you. I like this time of
the year. People are nicer to each other. So why are some people in this country lobbying to have Merry Christmas replaced by Happy Holidays. With all the serious problems in the world how can they be so petty as to complain about a good thing. Please explain. |
It sounds like you are going to be quite upset for the next month. If you do not want to be exposed to other religions, then you are closed minded at the very least. Isn't that the liberal mantra when some don't want to be exposed to the Islamic or any other, faith? No faith should have to hide behind closed doors as if they lived in a communist country, that is ridiculous. Your post sounds exactly like something the Religious Right would say about Islam or Buddhism. |
