I'm looking for anyone who was a member of the folk mass group from St. Lucy's on Mace Av and Bronxwood.
I was in it; I remember Cathy Jones and Maureen Einwich being the organizers. Cathy lived off Pelham Pkwy and married a fellow named Barry Kaplan (R.I.P)then moved to Esplanade off Williamsbridge. Maureen's cousin was none other than Bob Gaudio from the Four Seasons. Leyda Catala, Arlene De Simone and Maria ??? who played guitar were also in the group. I had a high voice and Cathy used me as a soprano! We used to practice on Wednesday nights in the basement of the rectory and Mass was on Sunday in the school auditorium (across Mace Av from the church). Anybody else remember this group...and where we all ended up? I'm now 52 and living in Southern California but can't wait till I can come back to the Bronx to stay!!
