There were only two places we went to see the bands and singers of the day and they were Freedomland and Palisades Park. My husband and I had a lifetime pass to Freedomland and saw some of the greats there. Bobby Rydell, The Four Seasons, Dion and The Belmonts. Murry the K would host.

I played in few of them with a band called, "Tomorrows Children."
Most of these battles where at churches scattered all over the borough. Looking for old friends from 170th Street and Nelson Ave. in the 60's or friends and/or former members of the band Tomorrows Children. |
