Jimmy I think you were a little before my time.
I married a girl from that area (209 and Hull)
in 1969. I'm glad you left some girls for the
rest of us.

I don't remember a lot of names anymore, but if you lived on 193rd, I'm sure I played stickball and off the point with your brothers.

What HS did you graduate from? I'm St Helena/Class of 69.

Yes I live in Northern Westchester and my
Mom lives in the Woodlawn section of the
Bronx so I'm down there a lot. It's as bad as
you've heard. Not Woodlawn though there it's
like another County in Ireland. They have
34 bars from the Deagan down to Webster and
a lot on Katonah too. Young adults from the
burbs have been moving there to get in on the
partying. The south bronx is making a come
back. It got so bad they leveled a lot of it
and have built some nice homes.

Gibby, I'm from 193rd and Bainbridge, lived there from 1965 to 1978, my grandmother lived in that house since 1952 before us. I think you're a few years older than me, but the name sounds familiar. I'm sure we know some of the same people.

Yes, I have heard that Woodlawn and Riverdale were still great locations. (I'd like to move back to the area in a few years)

Gibby,
I lived on Bainbridge and then moved a few blocks to Valentine. I knew your brothers from grammar school and the altar boys. I think Robby was in my group at one point. They were a year behind me I think in the class of '68.

Jim

Jim sounds right. They were born Feb 1954.
Jimmy died in 1984. Rob lives in the Woodlawn
section of the Bronx. I hung out on Marion
and 188th St. For a goof we called ourselves
The Marion Meanies and it stuck. I'm still
in touch with over a dozen of them. Great
times, great neighborhood back then.
