I grew up here in the 1950's -- anyone else out there??

My family lived at 611 Van Nest Ave until 1956.

I lived on Morris Park a few blocks from 611.
You must have lived near the 5 corners candy store and playground. Born and raised in the Bronx.
Left The Bronx in 1991.

Yes, we were about 2 blocks from there.
Left a little earlier than you - 1971.
I've continously gone back to visit & shop on Arthur Ave.

If you left the area in 1956 where did u move to. What are the ages of your friends on Van Nest

We moved to Decatur Ave & Oliver Place.
Let's see...Billy Corte would be about 64 now. I guess Nick Buoninfante, Johnny D'Alessandro; Richie Pierro, & Mike Werner would be the same.
My older sister would have been 66.
Oh and Pat Battista would be 63.

Ginger, where on Oliver Place did you live..did you know anyone in 392 at the bottom of the hill?

We only lived there 6 months. It was an apt building at the corner of Decatur & Oliver Place.
The one name I do remember from there was a guy named "Ace".
