I was born in '43. My uncle Joe, Aunt Laura, cousins Roberta, Madelaine, and Gary lived in the Gardens.

My surname is Greif, the same as my Cousins'. I visited the Gardens as part of a walking tour of my old neighbourhood in '82. I was appalled by what I saw. At what point were the extensive bushes, hedges cuut down? What was the reunion like? I notice it was not at the Gardens itself. When I grew up it was a nice lower middle class neighbourhood, virtually all white.

the gardens cetainly has changed and i was living there with some of the changes. the unique fountain is long gone. a fence separates the dekalb side from bainbridge side now. we had such fun as kids in the courtyards. george was the super when i was there and vicky was in the office. i would say alot changed dramatically around 1975 and onward. i remember so many working class families who were so proud to call the gardnes their home. any other names you recall???

I used to play there when visiting the Joe Greif's. The only other name that springs to mind is my cousin Madelaine's pal, Carol Katz.
Tell me about the reunion.
