Hi Guys!! I used to play for the Eastchester Ramblers Football team. do you remember Roland the Candy Man who had the station wagon on E.229th by the Edenwald Projects? And that sad day one Sunday on the Softball field in the projects when one of the best Atheletes in the Projects, "BUCKY" was stabbed by his father who was stone drunk Frowner How about the edenwald and baychester community centers? there were alot of great pool and ping pong games held at those centers. and all the drag racing up and down Schieffelin Ave? I could go on and on!! TAKE CARE!! Wink

What I remember about the Baychester Projects is getting down in a three point stance during football practice -- and a rock sailing over the fence from a project denizen hitting me in the back. Baychester Road was very interesting if you went to Spellman in the sixties.

Baychester Projects, do you mean Edenwald?

They aren't that bad compared to other BX projects (But I wouldn't call them safe.) Big though. That area has turned into little Jamaica, parts of the Bronx you thought would never changed did a 360 spin.

Race cars lined up on Schiefflin Ave. Bart, Ray, George and many others. Those were the days. Not only did I graduate from Evander in 1971, I was in your class. Small world. How's Chuck?
