During the late 1950's I lived near the corner of 181st and park. I am looking for some neighbors who came from the small town of Valle San Giovannni which is near the province of Teramo.

I grew up on 185th & Park and also went to Our Saviours. But lived there many years before. In fact, I graduated from S.O.S. in '55.

Does anyone remember a small church on Washington Ave. and 181st St.? It was called "Church of the Advocate". I believe it was a Protestant Episcopal church.

Patricia, did you know a Cathy Flynn? Margie Van Droof, or a Pat Kelly?

I graduated with a Patricia Kelly. Don't know what her name is now. If it's the same person, I understand from some of the others that I graduated with, that she is quite ill. Too bad. She was or I should say is, a barrel of laughs.

Pat Kelly, with the little nose and the freckles, and long reddish hair? She was a tough cookie though, don't let that description fool you. I am sorry to hear she is ill, she was at my sweet 16th party, how old is she, I want to make sure it's the same person.

If she's the same Pat Kelly, we were born in '41, so therefore she'd be 65 or 66 now. We graduated from SOS's 8th grade in '55. Funny most of us, after more than 50 years are still in touch with each other. Everyone's left the City, but most have stayed in the tri-state area, with the exception of a few.

You're right Barbara, she is a tough cookie. I believe she's living somewhere in NJ now.

It's her Patricia. I hope she is getting better. Ask her if you ever see her, if she remembers Joe's candy store on Lorillard Pl, and the girls, Chickie, Margie, Dee the blond, etc....thanks pat

Hey Barb, Would Chickie happen to be Gladys Calzat, now Salvaggio? she was in the other 8th grade class that graduated in '55. Gladys (Chickie) is now living in Vegas. she's one of the few exceptions I mentioned yesterday.

Patricia, I never knew Chickie by her real name. I know she was Spanish, she had a cleft in her chin, and long dark hair, brown eyes and was very pretty. I know all this, because I have my picture with her and Dee and Pat Kelly, at my sweet 16, can you believe this?

Are you in touch with her?
