I went to school there 66-69. The school was brand new. I was great. Some of the teachers were Mrs. Ruiz - Spanish, Mr. Glickman - math, Mr. Bastoni - Science, Mr. Fox - music. I remember one of the vice principals had gray/white hair I think his name was Mr. Miller. The school was safe at that time and we actually got a very good education. My family moved in 1969 to Puerto Rico and I lived there for 7 years and came back to the states. Some of my friends at the time where Sweedy Menendez, Frances "Cookie" Lopez, Robert Lopez, Nestor Cora, Maria and Marissa O'Neil, Maria Otero, Miriam Vila, Mikey Morales, Emilo Nazarrio, Rubin Reyes, Arnold Bendel, Laura Carrabella, Gary Belaflores, Leroy Evans, Angel LaPorte, and so many more. If any of you are out there - drop me a line.

Hi, It's good to hear that someone is still around. I nave lost touch with everyone. I left the Broonx in 1969 to move to PR and didn't come back to the states until 1976 when I was married and moved to VA. I have been in Florida since 1980. I was in NY 3 years ago and had a great time. I spent an afternoon in the Bronx (about scared my husband half to death!) but it was great to see the old neighborhood was still there. I had heard so many stories about the Bronx being burned out. I drove around and saw some neighborhoods in disrepair and that was very sad. But overall I enjoyed going back.
