i remember an eddies candy store on university and fordham and another was on university near 171st st.

I remember Eddies Candy Store at University & 174th Street.
Was both a Candy Store & Luncheonette.
Also remember Max Meazers at University & Tenny Place, Sams Candy Store at University & 176th and
Lenmore's on University between 176th & Tremont.

I remember Eddie's Candy Store! I used to go there for the 2 cent pretzels, the egg creams and buy superman comics there. Sure wish I kept those comics!!! I never ate a full meal there though. I lived on Popham.
