For the first question, it is probably none of the above. Rock around the Clock is probably the first rock and roll song,
Rocket 88 is a rythym and blues song, it wasn't a rock tune although it influenced future rock. For the second question it is also probably none of the above. the only person that I know that had a multi-million dollar fit in 1956 would have been Marilyn Monroe. The third question I have no idea,, I could care less about some sissy-boy teen idol. |

Hang onto your underwear I wanted to give everyone a chance.
First rock and roll record, is a trick question its subjective, but all those hits were milestones....Good Rockin Tonight was recorded in 1947 by Wynonie Harris, a wild party animal with a sexy image. With Rockin in the title and a rock star behind the make-could be rock and roll. Rocket 88 was recorded in 1951 Sh-Boom in 54 and July 54 Elvis recorded That's all right Mama-could be rock and roll. On the strength of "Be-Bop-aLula" Gene Vincent and the Blue Caps landed a Capitol Records recording contract in 1956. The acclaimed rockabilly and made 6 albums for Capitol, today all are prized collector's items. And of course, Ricky Nelson was on the Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet from 1952 to 66. His first single was A Teenagers Romance/backed with the B side I'm Walkin on the charts in 57. So the correct asnwers are A, D, B...... Maybe Annmarie and I can come up with some more if you would like.......yes/no. Love begins with a smile, grows with a kiss, and ends with a teardrop....... |
