My all time favorite to this day is 'Rythym of the Falling Rain' by the Cascades in 1963.

Not to mention the kid from Crotona Park.

Know who?

Dion DeMucci (Dion and the Belmonts from Belmont Ave.)

"Anybody here see my old friend John?
Can you tell me where he's gone?
He freed a lot of people.
I just looked around and he's gone."

We had two schools of entertainers competing then, those from the Bronx and those from South Philadelphia.

All great in their own right.

Fabian. Bobby Daren. on and on.....

Now all we have is watching them trying to perform in fat tuxes on oldies shows.

(the survivors, that is)

"In the Still of the Night" made #1 in the top 500 of 1987( WCBS FM101) I have the list right here on my computer.

Should I put it on ebay?

Hi there, I must have goofed because my name is now on someone else's song list. Anyway, what I wanted to say, is that I was back in the Bronx in my mind when I recalled these songs. My favorite was The Righteous Brothers....Their songs had an ethereal quality to them. So beautiful. One of them passed away not long ago. Hard to believe so much time has passed. I don't live in the past, per se, but do enjoy reminiscing. Sorry for the error with that list. God bless. Kris
