Just read that Bill Pinkney of the Drifters passed away, he was 81 and had a heart attack at a Hilton in Daytona Beach, where he was supposed to sing, the rest of the group, went on as scheduled and told the audience after the concert that he had died. He left the Drifters in 1958 after a tif over money, he is only heart on their recording of White Christmas, he will be buried in SC.
