John "Bootsie" Wilson age 69 the last surviving member of The Silhouettes has died of cancer in Columbia, SC. He joined the group in 1961 after they recorded their hit "Get A Job".
Bootsie Wilson joined the group in '61 when Bill Horton had left and Richard Lewis took over the lead tenor slot. Still in all they did have some fine recordings "Rent Man" comes to mind.
