Over the weekend some of the lawyers in my group and myself went to South NJ to hear a really good Doo*** group, The Innocents.......
this group is not to be confused with Kathy Young and the Innocents.....different group formed in the Bronx there lead singer was just a kid when she started, she since has passed away but her son took over the group and boy, what a voice.....sings those oldies and doesn't miss a beat. There was a meet and greet after the show and they signed CD's, pictures. We all had a great time and hopefully they will come to NY or the Bronx for a show in the near future.

Miss Suzie, please pm me with the details of the show, I am still trying to get my strength back from being ill, but I've gone to nearly all of their concerts, I think I told everyone that my Angel was lead singer of the group......
God, how I miss her, she would be soooo very pleased with the way her son has taken over, he's a great kid. I hope to be able to go to see them in a month or too, once I feel better.

Yes Miss Suzie everyday I get stronger and hopefully it won't be too long before I will be able to tavel. I have the groups schedule for the rest of the year, my boys and I will get to some of there concerts once I'm on my feet.

miss suzie do you like that kind of music? sometimes i listen to it and daydream about the things i was doing when those songs were around. i loved dion so much, and i haven't seen him in ages.now that was music my friends.

Thank you ladies for your well wishes, thank you for caring about this poor latinlover, I've been given the go ahead to travel by my caring team of doctors, and with the help of my sons
will be traveling to celebrate my Angels birthday, as I have done for several years now along with family and friends...she will never be forgotten. May she RIP, my beloved Angel.

Jose, you seem to have really cared for your Angel, what was her real name? If you loved her so much why didn't you fight to get her back?
Did she feel the same way towards you? The whole story intrigues me, sounds like a gothic love story, Wuthering Heights, Cathy and Hethcliff.

I'm confused is there a birthday party for her?
She's gone, dead, sounds a little morbid to me.
I mean no offense.

My Angel was the love of my life, as you have read when I met her she was very young, but more grown-up than some of the older ladies I knew. She taught me so much, she had a good heart, a warm smile and even with my hot latin temper, she was patient and loving. Sadly, not one lady that I was involved with came close to what I felt for my Angel. She was and will always be a part of me.

I had done enough harm to her, that I intentionally stayed away from her, so she could find happiness, and she did, she married had a family and as far as I know was completley happy. After her husband passed on, I got in touch with her, and pleaed with her for forgiveness, the years had passed and the anger was gone, but I could still see the hurt in her eyes. We left on friendly terms. I wanted more, but she said the years had changed her and her family was the most important thing at the time.

A little time later, she met a man who she fell deeply in love with, in my eyes, it was a relationship that was going to break her heart,
she said that they would find a way, well the way was that he left without a word, stayed with his wife, he broke her heart and she couldn't bear the thought of life without him.
She died soon there after.

My Angel (Kathy) was well respected in the Bronx
she had friends, family and people in the entertainment industry that loved her. Every year we hold a memorial service for her, every year the crowd gets larger. I don't think there's anyone who could say anything bad about my Angel. The gathering in Aug. is a small group just family and very close friends, myself included, maybe 20/25 people. I will not forget her, she was a special part of my life. I could say so much more, but this is a public forum, if only everyone knew the truth of what actually happened. Wow, I've been reading this saga, Jose I'm nearly positive that I went to school with your Angel, I too am sending you a e-mail. Continue to get well. BTW I went to St. Simon Stock on Ryer and Valentine Ave. till 1965.

Donna, My Angel did go to St. Simon Stock, when I met her she was just starting to go to a Catholic business school on 63rd St. I would wait for her to get off the train on Jerome Ave and 183rd St. and walk her up to her house, because she got back after dark and I didn't want anyone to bother her.

I'm feeling better everyday and I thank you all for thinking of me. Finally someone who knew my Angel, and yes, she was a friend to everyone.

Miss Suzie, I'm sure that I will be able to get to one of those concerts, I will be released from rehab. next week and with the aid of a cane be able to get around. I will be in my usual seat front and center, they end every show with a dedication to my Angel, gets me everytime, the tears fall and I can't help myself, a life cut short for what? You have no idea how angry I get, just thinking of the events that lead to her demise. Someday, the truth will be told.

Hmmmm, this story gets more interesting as time goes by. What events? Come on, Jose give us the dirt on your Angel. Hope that you'll be up and around, take care of yourself.

You're a very emotional caring person Jose, a trait I rarely see today. Sometimes it is the memories of good times that makes each day that much more bearable.

I would really be upset if your Angel left this world because of her own actions, her unability to cope with living.

I just heard yesterday that my Angels daughter is not well, had to pospone going off to college
she's in hospital with a appendix rupture, please keep her in your prayers. The little Angel is a great kid, wonderful basketball player and got a scholarship to play. I will keep my fingers crossed that she will soon be on the road to recovery.

Suzie, I fly out tomorrow along with several others for our celebration of my Angels life
we then go for something to eat, reservations are all made, I would never miss this, my boys
will be by my side to pay their respects.
Each year this gets harder for me, and her poor family, a heartache for those of us, that knew her and loved her. Her birthday is Mon. August 27th. May she rest in peace, my Angel.

I recently got together with some old schoolmates from St. Simon Stock, and finally figured out who this person is, I thought I knew her from all the talk here, we were in the same classes for awhile, then she moved, I hadn't seen her
in years, I remember hearing that she had a group and was singing in New Jersey/New York, but then you get busy with
your own life and forget about everything else. I didn't know she was deceased until I met with this group who actually
knew her, I'm sorry and feel bad for her family, she was a friend a long time ago, sweet girl and great to know. She
certainly could bring a smile to anyone's face, she had that kind of personality. May she rest in peace.
